This movie shows the 4 largest moons of Jupiter over a period of several days ( they're the tiny blue dots ). Each frame of the movie is made to resemble one of Galileo's original sketches. Play the movie and watch the moon's motions. You might also want to step through the movie frame-by-frame to get a feel for what Galileo was seeing and recording. He quickly realized his sketches depicted circular motion around Jupiter viewed from the side.
